Sounds like a lot of us sent our orders in at the same time. I sent mine in on the 21st of September for an authentic lamb Raiders jacket, which should have been sent out the week of Oct 13th going by the 21 days to dispatch quote. On the 13th, I sent Wested an e-mail and got a reply back quoting 10...

Wested Delay
I received this from Jerry at Wested today regarding my Authentic Lambskin jacket that was ordered about three weeks ago: Dear Timothy Sorry, we've had a bit of a delay with some skin that wasn't of suitable quality and we're now a little bit behind. I aim to despatch your jacket in the next ten wor...

I suggest the Pecards gel inside and out (just don't put your gun in while you're doing this!! ) After the gel had time to thoroughly dry on the inside, I did put my gun in and then applied a coat of the gel on the outside in an attempt to help it form to my gun a little better. It seemed to ...

Make sure you get the large eyelets made by Dritz from Jo-Anns fabrics if you can. They have a rivet that goes on each side of the hole (one fits through the other one) and look much nicer than anything else that I tried. Plus they come with a setter if you buy the kit and they were much easier to s...

As Cab said, Prairie Flower does make a nice bag strap. I have one myself and I love it. The best part about it (next to the price) is that you can tell Steffan what you want as far as color and length and he'll custom make it for you. I had my strap made in a dark brown with both sides finished whi...

SWTrooper is a member of this forum. He ordered a few buckles from a site that had an accurate looking buckle and he offered some of the extras he had for sale to other members. I couldn't find the thread earlier but here's the website with a picture of the buckle. http://aplusproduct.com/project/ca...

Best bag strap buckle
I recently obtained a nice strap for my MK VII bag and I was wondering if anyone could give any tips on where to obtain an accurate buckle to go along with the strap. I've tried most of the local stores and it seems like most of the buckles are plastic now or aren't the correct size/shape. The close...

Sorry to hear about the jacket. I too was worried about the strength of the lambskin after I order my first Wested last fall and I was probaly overly cautious with it during the first few weeks I wore it. Just a few weeks ago however, I was goofing off with some of the guys at work when they decided...

Paul Stenhouse whip handling video
For those of you looking for a nice video to teach you some of the basics of whip handling, I suggest checking out Paul Stenhouse's new video Whip Handling and Maintenance. I just received my copy today and I was quite pleased. Paul really knows how to handle a whip and he spends quite a long time t...

Here's the official reply from the Alden Shoe Company: Style 405 is still available, however, only certain sizes are currently in stock due to a shortage of leather. You may still place an order for the shoes and they will be made as soon as the leather arrives here at the factory. Hope this informa...

You are absolutely correct. I guess I just skimmed over that part. I also confirmed this in the World Guide to Gun Parts book. Man is that an expensive gun to replace parts for. $85 for a replacement barrel and $59.95 for the cylinder. For those of you with extra cash laying around you could probabl...

Not sure if it would work, but I noticed that my local Michaels Arts and Crafts store sold a leather dye in a medium brown color. I don't remember the brand name at the moment. As soon as I saw it I thought of the Aldens. I don't have a pair yet to try it out so I'm not sure as to its effectiveness....

I don't have any pics yet but I'll try to get some up. It may take a few days because I don't have a digital camera at my disposal yet so I'll have to take the pics with a traditional camera and scan them in. I'll do my best to get some up though. In my opinion, the holster looks very similar to wha...

I bought one of these bags from WPG and I wasn't completely happy with the strap either. So I darkened the strap by purchasing a bottle of brown scratch repair/shoe polish from Wal-mart and applying this to the unfinished side of the strap. Doing this a couple of times and then applying a few coats ...
