I have a Disney jacket from the early 90's that had that same label. The jacket itself though is a much darker color, almost black. I always assumed it was a Cooper.

the other problem with any Indy jacket on a bike is the collar. It flaps in the wind and can ver very distracting when it keeps slapping your helmet. When I have worn an Indy jacket on the bike, I end up turning the collar in so it doesn't flap around so much.

I think the 'public space' 'private space' rule is a pretty good one. When going out to eat though, I usually leave mine in the car as there is nowhere to put hats in most restaurants. Ihate to put it on the floor and it feels tacky setting it on the table.

the horse is probably pretty abrasion resistant, but I have to agree an Indy style collar is not conducive to motorcycle riding

I"ve always been a big fan of Red Wings and, honestly, I'd rather have a p[air of these than a pair of Aldens. Not in the budget right now, but it's nice to know they're out there for when finances allow.

I too have and older Todd's bag and it's great. Never had a Magnoli bag, but I have no doubt he also offers a terrific product. Why don't you just go ahead and buy both, just to give the business to both of these great vendors.

I've currently got four Indy jackets in rotation... My bantu Wind is is pretty much my 'go to' jacket, a Wings legend that I wear in the colder weather or to go motorcycling, a three or four year old Todd's standard, and a Wested cotton for when i know I'm gonna be getting it dirty or paint-stained....

I've owned a Christy's. My current hat is an Exploradora, but I just recently bought a Fed Iv in moonstone. For all the talk I've heard over the years about how durable the Fed is, i was surprised how light and thin the felt is. Lighter and thinner than my Christy's for sure

if the criteria is which one you grab when you go out the door, then I'm gonna go on record as voting for my Todd's Bantu Wind. May not be the most screen accurate, but it's comfy and well broken in.

I washed mine once in cold water in woolite, inside out and it doesn't seem to have damaged them in the least. Even Magnoli says you CAN wash wool as long as you're careful.

I'm also curious about the sizing. I got an XL Bantu that, after a cycle through the washing machine, fits FAIRLY well, albeit a little roomy. I'm wondering if a L would be a better choice for the new standard.

I bought a cotton jacket from Wested a couple of years ago, OTR in size 42 and it fits okay and its gotten beat up enough over the years to be a fine 'everyday' jacket when I'm working outside and don't want to mess up any of my leather jackets.

let me just chime in here...no criticism, constructive or otherwise. Diego and Roberto make a GREAT hat. I got my Explorador '36 last spring and it's been lived in ever since. Great hat, great company, great guys to do business with.

I gotta go with jlhampton. I'm currently wearing a pair of $100.00 Red Wings and they are super comfortable for work. I'd love to get a pair of Alden's, but the price point and the leather sole kind of rule them out for me.
