+1 for the purple. I have no pictures to hand of my liner but purple was the option I chose as well. It's a beautiful color and fits the hat very well.

Seconding MakeItJones. He's an absolute pleasure to deal with and I can confirm that his custom items are great (I'm 6'5" and he's the only one that makes straps long enough that I've found) and that the double wrap whip holders are great. My double wrap from him works like a charm.

I will point out that mine was semi-custom as I have a very large head-size and she needed to order a longer sweatband and deep sable beaver felt I believe(?). I had sent her plenty of photos of me from all angles. The more info she has, the better. Bespoke haberdashery at it's best.

Unless you go open crown, the original Raiders crease styled by HJ is likely to still show if you put in a second, turned crease later. You'd also need to re-adjust the side creases. I’ll throw in my two cents and say that I did deep sable for my Raiders because I know with time it should fade just enough to be the perfect color. Plus it’s just pretty.

All I know is that when I asked for the precise measurements of their size 64, they came back with 63.7 cm. A hair small. I guess they round up. When I asked why, the reason they provided was that vintage blocks are smaller. Why they don't remeasure and use that, I have no idea.

It is my understanding that the Fed IV is made using a vintage hat block and that is the reason why it usually runs just a tad small. Old fedoras and all that. I emailed them just a few weeks ago asking about their size 64 and that is the explanation given to me.

My problem is (as always) sizing. I wear a size 15 and it is darn hard to find a regular pair of shoes to wear, much less an Indy boot. I like the retro adventurer style but I haven't really found a good boot in my size yet.
