Re: Dying pants???
Thanks. i believe I'll look into the RIT dye. I really like the pair of pants I got, but they are just way too light for my taste, and as I said my old pair (although not pleated) were perfect for me, great color accuracy, nice fit, but I got a hole in the knee, and paint stains, and glue stains all...

Your top "5" favorite gear peices
The title says it all. What's your top five favorite peices of gear? Maybe mention your personal opinion as to why it's in your top five. Mine would be as follows: 1: The fedora (goes without saying) 2: The shirt, it's so simple yet so distinctive, behind a fedora I'd take the shirt over everything ...

Indy's strap under the jacket in KOTCS?
Ok well I'm sure your first thoughts on the title is, "Is this guy crazy? It was over the jacket". But I just wanna know what made them decide to film with the strap over the jacket. And the weird part is when I was watching some of the bonus features on the KOTCS disc I recall seeing Harr...

One time my friends and I were at the mall and some prppy girl, about 13 stops walking and just asks me, "Are you suposed to be a pilgrim or something?" I gave her a hard look and examined her and how she asked that and I knew she wasnt making a rude joke. I just looked her in the eyes and...

Re: Dying pants???
You can dye them, but, if they arent cotton, they will start to fade as soon as you wash them. And, dont put salt in the dyebath like the package recommends. Salt plus water, equals floating garments that dye unevenly. You can get RIT dye just about everywhere. The pants are 59% cotton. And what's ...

Dying pants???
Not a normal subject, I know. Well, I had an almost perfect pair of Indy pants, as far as material and color went, they are not pleated and they don't have back pocket flaps, but they have had about all they can take, they have numerous stains and tears from customizing work, gear work, etc. So I we...

Re: The Henry extreme: hitting the ABD Raiders block
I for one think it looks absolutly perfect! i LOVE the musroom/light bulb effect. The rounded sides look great to me, and that's what I strive for with my hat, the most I can get is maybe an ever so slight rounded effect, but mostly straight sided. I am thinking about placing an order for an AB when...

Woah! Sorry to hear about that! This is the first I've heard of anything like this on a Todd's shirt. Randy It is a very odd and somewhat depressing issue. I have had my Todd's jacket for quite some time now. I'd like it to look similar to the LC jacket, buit I don't know ...

As for re-blocking a Christy's. It can be done but you have to realize that these hats have never seen water. They are dry block or at least thats my understanding of them. They will shrink. Add that and the fact that they have very small tight machine stitching that goes around twice near the brim...

Re: Christy's Adventurer Reborn!
Thats because the Crystal Skull hat is a very straight sided hat with virtually no taper, perfectly stovepipe. The Christy's will not lend itself to a proper Crsytal Skull crease. I have a Raiders/CS crease in my grey Christy's and I like it, but I'm not too concerned about it being accurate to any...
