Regular Fed has the wire, thats for sure. And i had a problem with it, wire was so bent on the front that it left a mark on felt, later that mark turned into a hole. So "be careful"

Yep, this is my "dirty" gear. I am wearing it in the field doing excavation, and that king of stuff.
My "city" gear consist of jeans, boots or sneakers, t-shirt or plain shirt. Fedora and bag are always with me.

Re: The "Turn" - Is it a Raiders Standard?
About brim cutting. I had a Fed IV, long before i entered COW, and i knew nothing about the turn, i bashed waving brim using hands. Then i tried turn, and didn't liked the results. So time goes by, and i got soaked in heavy rain, fedora shrunk and lost its shape, so the only thing i thought could sa...

Bad, I suppose. It's very lightweight, more intended for an Italian autumn than a Russian Winter  And as far as I have read (but still not experienced), it fears rain. Thank you for input Brian, very well said. Sweaband is main thing i check in hats. On my Fed IV sw is sewn too low, and when hat is on my hat you can see it sticking out from the felt. It is very distracting and makes me loose my mind when i see it in the mirror. Problem is, when main option for maj...

Just make sure sweatband not to get wet. On regular Fed sw is very shrinkable. Other than that use cold water and you will be just fine.
