Re: What would you change about Indy's costume?

I think different gear for different climates would be cool like a fur lined collared leather jacket for snow. I do agree with different gear as Indy hit the 50s & the 60s, except his hat. The hat is timeless. :TOH:

Re: Alternative Shoulder Bags

These http://www.fcsurplus.ca/shopping/products/15-Army-Style-Bags/921-WH5-Giant-Web-Haversacks/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; were all the rage when I was university for those of us who shopped at army surplus stores and not at the fancy ones... and for the money, I doub...

Re: The kind of wallet Indy would use

Those are some awesome wallets. The bags look awesome too, but it'd take me two years just to save up enough money to buy one of those brief cases. :-k

Re: Leather + battery acid = :(

 Man that is horrible about the battery acid, but even the one with the worst stain, I'd still clean it up as best as I could and use it.

Re: Spiderwebs on my hat..

Well, I know this is an old thread but I dusted up my hat and strung spiderwebs on it for a convention this weekend. I simply used that cheap cotton spiderwebs they sell around Halloween. http://s248.photobucket.com/albums/gg168/SonofJoker/?action=view&current=100_1350.jpg http://s248.photobucke...

Not quite the Indy jacket but...

Hey all, just wanted to post a picture of my jacket. It's not an actual Indy jacket, but it's the cheapest I could get at the time. I did find some leather that matches it pretty well and a friend of mine is going to sew pockets to the front of it like Indy's jacket though. So that's cool. But I dir...

Whip Holder lasted all of two seconds

Well, as I got all my gear on to head into work for Halloween, my Todd's whip holder broke. The snap button came off, so I improvised and used the trusty ol'zip tie. :whip: It was the first time I wore all my gear and it was all groovy in the end. Anyone else have any gear mishaps? :)

That divider part in my original is ripped, making it look like one big opening, but what's left of the divider is still there.

It's a franchise that people expect to see the same stuff. He's known for his look. Would his gear have changed over the course of 20 some odd years...I'm sure it would have. Then it wouldn't be Indy. So Indiana Jones running around a cemetary in a pair of black pants or a t-shirt wouldn't be India...

I remember as a kid, if you wanted a pair of western six shooters, then that's what you got. Real metal and wood. Now it's a little bit of metal or none at all. Just plastic. I miss the good ol'days. And all this bright color schemes have backfired since some people are painting their real gu...

I found my shoulder bag today in fact at my local surplus store. The stamp on the inside reads Vll, some word that I cannot make out and then says 1943. It's a tan color and not really the green color that I see most people with. But it's got some rust on it and what almost looks like blood. But I w...

As I've gotten older, I love making costumes and props and with Indy's gear you can wear it everyday. I've always like Indy and enjoyed the old pulps of the 30's so I figured it was about time to get myself a fedora and enjoy life!
