My Caicedo 10' 12 Plait (w/ Pics, and a special thanks...)
Hello to all- it's been a while since I've posted on COW, and certainly a while since I've started a thread- partly due to lack of post-worthy news, and partly due to a heavy college schedule. However, I'm happy to say that at least one of the two problems has been remedied... :whip: Three weeks ago...

Just did a modified version of your distressing method. Had countless stares from neighbors, worked up a little sweat with my acrobatics, and had a blast listening to the IndyCast while distressing. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y66/theinterchange/DSC_1532.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y6...

Been a few months since I've been on COW, and lo and behold- my distressing method seems to have some supporters. I'm happy to have field tested the "Cinder Block Technique" for folks, and hope it has proven successful for those who've used it. I'll stress again that, like any kind of dist...

Re: Todd's Jacket Owner's Thread
Holla people, Been awhile since I've visited or posted at COW, but this thread piqued my interest. I purchased an XL Todd's Standard back in the summer, and must say that it's weathered two full seasons full of hectic living since then- and in wonderful form, as well. http://i431.photobucket.com/alb...

as a kid, one of my favorite film characters was robert redford's portrayal of "roy hobbs" in barry levinson's The Natural . besides just being a great piece of period americana, it also has some great men's fashion peppered throughout. among those fashions is a jacket/fedora combination s...

My feeling is that a good leather jacket can only be tested by time (wear over a short period is just one indication). A good jacket will perform year in, year out, like some of my bike jackets which are 20 plus years and are still immaculate (if a little scuffed). ;-) Todd's product has only been ...

I actually would prefer it to be snug around the bottom. I wouldn't want the jacket to be a bell shape, i.e. tight on the chest and loose around the waist. I don't have a big belly - I'm about a 40-41 inch chest and 31-32 inch waist, so my problem is often that things are baggy around the waist, an...

That's great! Is the bottom of the jacket snug when zipped? actually, since you can adjust the tension at the bottom with the straps, i find it more snug across the chest, but not uncomfortably so. you can kind of see it in the pic: http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj307/lordhildebrandt/100_0454-...

What's your height and chest size? thanks satipo, it suits me on both counts. i'm just a tad under 6', with a chest size around 40 or 41, i *think* (to be honest, i haven't checked- i usually just wing it). I'm not confusing light-weight with delicate or fragile. Light-weight is good. It's the overall quality of the Standard I was not impressed with. Precisely so about the heat issue that a heavier jacket will bring you, lpa53. Also, in your opening remarks, you mentioned doing nothing adventurous in the jacket.
