Re: My Garrison Raider (Garrison owners unite here!)

I'm looking to get my eleven-year old Garrison cleaned and maybe a liner replacement - it's gotten pretty oily. I see there's been no updates since 2022 on the status of Dave's business - is he taking orders like this, clean up jobs on his old hats? Still my favorite Indy hat!

Riley has not misrepresented anything. He said he was closing at some point in the near future when orders have exhausted themselves. There is nothing dishonest in that at all. He will do that. Just because he doesn't do it the way you think he should, does not mean he is misrepresenting himself.

I'm not really counting taper in my assessment because as long as the felt is not damaged you can always re-block it and your hat is virtually as good as new. But yeah, if you live in a hot, humid climate your rabbit hat is certainly more apt to taper than a beaver hat, although I've seen beaver hat...

I would like to counter what's been said about rabbit. The good rabbit felts, like Akubra, can last just as long as any beaver felt, under everyday conditions. No one is going to be drenching them in a river (I presume) or wearing them in desert heat and covering them with sand and dirt, like Indy. ...
