Fuller’s Earth is what Hollywood uses. Todd’s Costumes used to carry it, but I don’t see it on his website anymore. I only have a second hand Wested TOD, so not quite sure whether it was an off-the-shelf or legacy, but most likely off-the-shelf. I just wanted to chime in to be aware of chest sizes with the TOD as well. The TOD sits on your shoulders more like a regular jacket (as opposed to the off-the-shoulder/d...

Re: Adam Savage Indy's Leather Jacket Details
The interesting part to me is when they show the front shoulder close-ups. The leather is a very close match to the washed-lamb Wested uses. It has a distinct marbled grain that has been pressed smooth (and then distressed and stunt-damaged). It’s the first time I’ve seen that grain type turn up in ...

I think the issue is nobody orders two jackets in those two leathers at the same time. Over time, the washed lamb has been subtle grain to dino hide, and the shrunken lamb has been different shades of brown. What you compare may not reflect what’s currently available.

Quality and durability 8/10 Screen accuracy. 4/10 Overall they adjust patterns to be as efficient as possible. Typically I get the Hero about an inch and a half shorter in the back than the regular cut, so that sounds about right. Keep in mind there were multiple jackets used in Raiders, each with different details, and the details you like in one scene may not be in the next. We have a conglomeration of things we like in our minds but no one jacket will likely exactly match that image. Best to pick a scene you like and go wi...

Well, the aging is not so unexpected considering it’s lambskin and wasn’t treated gently.
