A gray vintage HJ Poet I got off eBay (and had been meaning to post pics of for a few years - #### my ADHD 😂😂 From the 38 New Bond St. address, according to the HJ dates/locations thread, this could be from 1971 or earlier, beyond that I have no idea when it was made. The reboot should not be judged by the standards of the pre-reboot hats. Those were, as confirmed by Michelle elsewhere on COW, the ones being bought in from Christy's and sold under the HJ label. I agree with Indiana Jeff, don’t change it if you love it. Vintage hats that are in good enough shape to love without needing work can be hard to come by. In a lot of pictures I've seen of Coyle's Downtowner fedora, I couldn't help but notice, no matter what angle the picture was taken, it looked like there was a bit of taper in the hat - kinda bugged me, though my perception may be a bit off.

Look, if you're gonna wear a hat in public, you're gonna have to accept that you're going to stick out to a certain extent. Is it just me, the angles the photos his hats are taken at, or do Todd's fedoras always have some sort of noticeable taper, almost looking egglike towards the top sometimes?
