In a lot of pictures I've seen of Coyle's Downtowner fedora, I couldn't help but notice, no matter what angle the picture was taken, it looked like there was a bit of taper in the hat - kinda bugged me, though my perception may be a bit off.

The seems on top stand out a lot to me, but it could just be just me - still looks AMAZING.

As much as I love my rabbit AB, my BP "Indy" in ToD style, and my Akubra Fed. IV, I think this is something I ought to look into if the price is right.

I'm thinking, once I get my PB indy back from the fuzz (don't ask, very long and complicated story), if they didn't bother to take care of my hat and it is ruined, I might want to get a Christy's - given the similarity to the HJ Poet without the astronomical cost, or the astronomical quality problem...

Question: I can't help but want to sand down my fed IV to make the felt smoother, less hairy/shaggy/fuzzy (not that it is shaggy to begin with...).
