I had to febreeze a lid after being in a bar for a while, and the smoke just stuck with it. It didn't do any damage, but i was very light with it. I think we can all agree that hat sizing is a pain in the you know what...it'd be much easier if you could walk into the shop and let the shopkeep take your size and shape, instead of having to guess as to what a size 7 1/4 really is and how that hat in the pictures is going to look and fit. :TOH:

I measured a half dozen times, and i always ended up with my 22 7/8s long oval. That is what i gave Steve, and the hat at first felt "loose" and thats because I have never had anything but foam filled shelf hats that never fit right. After a few days of wear, the hat slides on like a glove...

I have to agree here, the outside pics make the hat look much better, and the crown and brim fit perfectly with your face, and the brim is warped perfectly, and is definetly ROTLA. :D

From what I can see I think that AB suits you! I think it looks really good on you! Remember, if you are not used to wearing a fedora, or any large brimmed hat for that matter... it takes a while to get used to. At first you might think it looks HUGE. But give it time... and once you get used to it...

Isn't this a great lid? Although i think the block is a bit round on the top, the felt, ribbon and especially the sweat are phenomenal for a "factory" hat.

That is a TOD airplane hat if i've ever seen one. A lot of people hate that hat, i like it, it has character. Our resident hatters here might know more, but with that much taper, you might loose more brim than usual on a reblock.
