Stringer, can you specify to Mag how much 'distressing' you want on his jackets ?.... Mag's pretty amenable, though i dont know how many 'levels' of dstress are optional. For mine i just asked for it to have the brand new shine taken off it, and i want to wear it in naturally aside from that. You'l...

My New Magnoli NOW WITH PICS.
No pics yet, sorry!!! My Magnoli Raiders came in the mail this morning. I have a lot of half formed things to say about it, and will have a better idea once i've worn it for a couple of days. It's a superbly cut and crafted piece of gear. The lamb is not really thicker than that of my wested, but it...

Re: Toughest Lamb
i've said this before, but i really think the lamb gets a bad reputation. my wested lamb is about 8 years old, and has lasted brilliantley. It's got two small rips, that both came from 'extroardinary' situations that were above and beyond normal wear and tear. aside from that, the jacket's been as t...

hmmmm.... truck chase has a special place in my heart. As does the idol grab. if there's a scene in raiders that i alwway think of when looking for my perfect jacket, it's one of the shots when he's in the well of souls at night, probably when the camera is looking down on him from above. Haven't i read somehwere that one of the jackets was loaned to Planet Hollywood, and never returned? Planet Hollywood had all of its "real" props repossessed when they hit the skids about 2 years out of the starting gate... The real Temple of Doom jacket they had was in their San Francisc...

cheers.
It's certainley a great looking jacket you've got, it's one of the ones that's had me tempted (that and the dark goat on another thread), but overall the weight and drape of the usual lamb's is one of my favourite features.
Hmmm. I'll need to think about this one.

Re: Wested's "worn look hide" looks like?...
used to have one of these. It was a tough jacket, and warm too. A good winter version of a raiders, or even more accurate as a winter version of, say, an LC.
But i like the feel and the drape of a lambskin, and the pre-distressed hide was just tough tough and heavy for my tastes.

That's one of the stories that's gone around, but if it's anything like the Planet Hollywood I went to in Las Vegas, they had an A-2 Wested (complete with correct B&N tag) from the film "Hanover Street" on display and labeled as being THE jacket worn by Harrison Ford in Raiders of the...

question to all of you raiders owners. Whats the thickness on the shrunken lamb like? parts are glued, and how to they last?

Hey folks
This might be a dumb question, but its years since ive ordered goods from abroad other than a book or album. If anyone else out there has ordered a magnoli mag to the uk, does customs stop it and add fee's?

this isnt really going to help you decide, but bear a few things in mind when you think a brand new jacket is too big/baggy. The sleeves effectivley shorten by an inch as the creases set in over the first few months. The shoulders soften and drape to your frame as the leather molds to you, and the j...

My lambskin is seven years old. (there are pics around here somewhere on one of the threads) and i've treated it for the first time recently. Hi,
I was thinking of making my own MKVII style bag, scaled up a couple of inches for my Laptop. Does anyone have patterns for a standard MKVII?
Cheers

For me, cotton linings on my coats or jackets never last long. They show dirt quicker, they catch on things, and they seem to tear more easily....
