I, too, wear my hats in the dog day humid hot July summers here in the South, and not that far from LLS's location. I have yet to see a rabbit felt hat NOT taper some without the proper pre-treatment as described by our friend. Mark, that's why BEAVERS are for wearin'. Rabbits are for eatin'! :)

I don't know why people keep using photos and screen grabs for color accuracy. It is just ridiculous to do so. It looks like the ribbon was altered. See how you can see the wrap ribbon under the bow? The ribbon should flow seamlesly into the bow and not show under it. I agree with the assessment that it isn't the original AB bow placement.

Yikes! Dave Hack sells that same DP hat for $32.00!!!!!!

As for the Stetsons, I've never seen ANY wool Stetson sell for much over $60. Even the straw and felt ones tend to only go for around $100.
