Re: Great guns of Indy video from Mark Felton!

I also like Mark's work but missed this one! Interesting how he said Raiders/Indy influenced his own choice of careers. Any word from anyone if Indy is carrying a gun in the new film? I'd guess maybe, just maybe in the opening sequence but not in the rest of the film other than possibly using acqui...

Thanks for the replies. If this is how all this leather responds to water and a spin they really should think about a "factory" treatment. It may add some cost to the process but would be a huge hit. About the lining, the one time I washed a jacket (USW goat, btw) I managed to rip the lini...

It just seems like the high points or the top of the bumps have been distressed as there is a change in color and looks sanded. I'm speaking mostly about the top of the sleeve. Wow, those pockets do seem to take up nearly the whole front of the jacket. The almost start at the armpit. Maybe adding an inch to the length of the front and moving them down would make the looks better.

Rick, I think you mentioned that in the last discussion. And yes, I agree. But that doesn't make it so in this case. The exterior scenes of boarding the Bantu Wind (either filmed day for night or at night) were shot in La Rochelle, France at the WW2 U-Boat pens. The washed goat from wested is more substantial then the Todd's. It will also keep me warm throughout the winter. It's SA is close in design, but it doesn't move like the Raiders jacket. The facing doesn't affect the look of the jacket as much a people think, you still get the wavy zipper, and it only adds to the life of the jacket. Tony will give you his opinion.

Also, Tony's 2nd inside "map", or horizontal, pocket is a great feature and doesn't change the look either.

To be very honest, I don't care for the way that leather aged - smooth, little grain, and stark undertones.
