Just got my fed4 reg. today. Getting the bash to shape right and stay in place is tougher than it looks. One of the tutorials here recommends not using steam. I'm not convinced I will be able to get a raiders bash with out it. Thoughts from the experts out there?

My carbon grey Fed 4 reg. I ordered on 10/20 just arrived in Los Angeles. Bashing and steaming as I type this. It's not up to the the Keppler that I have but it's still a fine hat.

Havershaw, Your jacket looks great by the way. Makes me tempted to to do the water treatment on mine. I got my jacket second hand from a COW member who's handle is Kiltie. He would know for sure but it looks and feels like those areas were washed with acetone and the natural leather is showing throu...

As promised, Lee delivered. His latest masterpiece landed on my doorstep this weekend.

This is my first Indy fedora and I could not be happier. Count me in as one of Adventure Supply's biggest fans.

And it's a perfect fit.

G&B

While on my quest to find a "Raiders" style jacket I looked and tried on a G&B. While it was a sturdy jacket, with accurate patterns and very well made it didn't seem to move and drape like the thinner costume jackets seen in "Raiders".

I was at comic con. Now I'm back. Yes, the sliders are metal. Lightweight but metal. Be careful on the sizing and carefully read Todd's measurments. I'm 5'9 and usually wear a medium or large in a jacket but realized from Todd's sizing I would need an x-large which surprized the heck out of me. I fo...

I just got a Todd's standard and I love the way it moves because it is so light. Also, because it's light it forms to the body and looks great when you wear it. (And if you ever consider distressing it you won't feel guilty about "ruining" a $300 or $700 jacket.)

Thin is good in regards to Todd's just so people don't get the wrong impression. I just bought a Todd's standard and I think it's great. Though it's lightweight, the color, and cut is very "Raiders". It even distressed well. As you know it's not a "rugged" jacket for everyday wea...

It's facinating that most of us want to wear our Indy jackets in general public everyday situations when Indy himself wears a sports jacket / blazer in similar settings and saves the leather only for field duty.

Thanks,

Took a look. It appears to be much darker and less mottled than the photos at the Wested web site. Which is more accurate to the real look of the jacket? Have you got any close up shots of the leather itself?

Rats, too bad your jacket is too big for me.

Photos of OTR Wested washed goat?

Thinking about getting a Wested OTR washed goat LC jacket and was looking for feedback or detailed photos from owners. The few photos posted by COW members and the Wested website are so different from each other it's impossible to tell what the washed goat is really like. Thanks.

Regarding the darkness of the color, you have to rember that for motion picture lighting the subject is lit sometimes from the back with fill lighting on the front. Therefore the jacket will read darker. Nobody I have seen on the boards here shoots their jackets lit from the back.

The Ebay one from China. It also has a bit of lycra or other strech fiber in it which gives it freedom of movement but may make it harder to "age" it down. The sleeves are appropriately "too" long. For a couple of bucks more you can have it completely tailored from scratch. I ord...
