Wasn't it around 2008 when Desi came forward with the screen-used Raiders hat that a lot of details like the turn, folded sweatband, brim measurements, ribbon characteristics, etc were confirmed?

Very interesting! My 2001 Wested has it folded under - this jacket is so old and was made by Peter himself so it probably is not even relevant to the conversation other than to mention how Peter made them. My circa 2008 Standard TOD Wested has either a fold or maybe the edge has been beveled and bla...

Re: Construction question- Wested jacket owners

The Legacy jackets are meant to be exact (or very close) copies of the jackets made for the films - that is, they were made quickly for use as a movie costume, and without a lot of the frills you would get with an off the rack jacket. They are different from Wested's standard offerings which are bui...

Re: Wested Jacket Pre-Distressed Hide vs Goat

Wested's predistressed hide is a cowhide (unless you get the predistressed lamb option) and is pretty thick & heavy. It is a good cold-weather jacket, but will not drape the same way as the jackets in the films. There will also be a break-in period for the leather as it's pretty thick and stiff ...

Mick has posted recently that all their jackets are currently essentially custom made, the volume of orders from the Indy 5 style jacket has meant they have no down time to make the OTRs. Current production time is about 28 days. https://thumbs4.imagebam.com/63/2f/0c/MEIJKAK_t.jpg Where did he post...

It's supposed to be the same jacket from Raiders - Disney said they copied a Raiders jacket from the Lucas Archives "stitch for stitch"- so assuming Wested knows that, it should be a Raiders pattern.

They are my go-to everyday jackets, and for those who want a sturdy Indy jacket for life they are my #1 recommendation. Hard to tell from looking at what the hide is, but I can tell you Wested's predistressed cowhide from around that era fades that way. I have one from around 2001 that is similar in color.

However, I have found bags that have the same metal disc (spool) on the side at my local military surplus store.

I think the 58 pattern respirator bag for the S6 respirator have them.
