Finally Some Comments
I've been away from COW for awhile as winter and family issues got in the way. It's been too cold to wear my fedoras here in Chicago but of late I've put them on again and in the past few weeks (finally) got two comments, both positive. The first one was regarding the Akubra Carbon Grey FedIV I wore...

you don't have to bust the center bar to put the buckles in. just find a really good tailor that can utilize the same holes for the new stitching. i did that on my washed goat wested. she did a bang up job on it....kinda pricey, but it was very well done. My wife sews a lot and I think she could do...

i'll admit that when new, the sliders look better than the buckles.....but i've grown to like the buckles. I'd like to be able to find some buckles like ones used on trenchcoat straps except not plastic. I'd want to be able to split the middle bar, though, so I could slip it on and not have to unst...

Looks good, LPA. How you liking your jacket? I do like it. The leather is so soft I wonder if it'll ever wrinkle quite like the real one. The odd thing is that now I'm wearing it, I notice brown leather jackets everywhere! Of course none just like this one... With the rectangular sliders if you pul...

I just put rectangular sliders on my Wested, using the complimentary ones Gemma sent (she's been great to work with). But now that they're on I'm wondering whether I might like the flat black ones from Strapworks better. The upside of those from Wested is that the color is like that of the zipper an...

If you call and ask, wested will send you the rectangular rings. You can easily change them yourself with a pair of pliers. Gemma at Wested actually offered to send me some without my even asking! I expect them next week. I did order some from a company here in the US but didn't like them that much...

About those Pockets
Does the pocket flap shape vary scene to scene and/or movie to movie?
The flaps here look a lot more pointed, and deeper at the point, than what I see being sold as authentic.

I just got my OTR Wested and discovered that the snaps are indded very tight. I just may leave them unsnapped. A short question about your rack goat. Was it one of the "specials". I'm wondering because it has the more scalloped pocket flap (which I would hav liked on the regular). http://i...

Three Week Wested Turnaround
I orderd my jacket from Wested around October 3rd and received it last week, so it took about three weeks. I had great communications with Gemma the entire time. Wested Raiders OTR Dark Brown Lamb - now what?
Well, I got my first jacket ... or is it yet? Still waiting for a reaction
I wore my new Keppler outside the house for the first time today. Since it's cool out now, and I haven't much on top anymore, it felt good to have a hat on. Surprisingly, no-one said a thing or even gave it a look - at least that I could see - which is fine. That people weren't aware of it that much...

How does the Wested dark lamb color compare to the color of a Todd's sStandard? is Todd's closer to the Wested authentic brown?
