HJ “Sable” vs. “Deep Sable” — What’s the consensus?

Hello, all. I’m looking for opinions from anyone who is familiar with, has handled, or owns Herbert Johnson poets in both their “Sable” and “Deep Sable” colors. Obviously a lot of this type of thing is subjective, as many things involved in this hobby can be, but I was curious if there was much of a...

With that in mind, I guess Indy’s tug-of-war with Mola Ram while hanging on the rope bridge gives new meaning to the term “hot potato.”

Re: Del Carpio or Paul Nolan?

I’m continuing to pine away for a screen accurate, high-quality 10-foot Raiders bullwhip. This is something that’s been on my bucket list for well over a decade. I always thought I’d go with a Del Carpio when the time came to pull the trigger on a whip, but after seeing and hearing about Paul Nolan...

Re: Screen used Raiders fedora up for auction in UK

Fantastic photos. Good look at the folded sweatband, too.

Anyone feel like buying that hat for me? Should only cost you $255,000-$385,000 or so.

Anybody?

No?

The hat looks outstanding, Weston.

That's also a nice "Harrison kicking back on the Cairo set between shots" pose you've got going there in the last pic. :)

Guys, my lanyard rings will not work on those guns. The gas cylinder is right where the ring needs to go. Mine are a 3/4" long bolt. Sorry to disappoint. I saw one of these modified with a lanyard ring that had a short wood screw on it. It was just screwed into the plastic frame until it hit t...

Calling Todd sounds like a good idea. Keep us updated.

Popped right out for me with zero problems without any real effort just as easy as the grips. I have a silver acrylic paint marker by testors that I will probably use to apply the "bare metal" look to it. I tried a fine sandpaper but it appears that only the hammer and trigger are real me...

Another great-looking whip from Joe Strain. I'll be looking to order one here in the coming months. I'm torn between getting it in saddle tan, or in natural tan and letting it darken naturally. I think I read somewhere that the going wait time for a Joe Strain whip is around 10 weeks. Is that fairly...

Mine arrived this morning, the contour grip came off with no problem. How did you get the orange tip off is the million dollar question? Ah, the orange tip. If you take a screwdriver (or similar tool) and place the tip of it just inside the barrel, you can pry the orange tip out. It sounds strange ...

Even without the lanyard ring, IMO the .38 FBI model is a much closer match to Indy's "Bapty" S&W. Those "Indiana Jones Style" guns look more like something Dirty Harry would carry. Beautiful weathering Tim! Thanks a bunch, Zombie. I figured it's as close as I'll be a...

Wow, Tim. I was debating between the two guns (leaning towards the $30 airsoft due to price), but after seeing your modding, I've made my decision to go w/ the .38 FBI instead of the Indy-style 4". Great work, and keep it up. (I wish I could switch the body of the FBI gun with the handle of th...

Here are a few pics of the airsoft revolver shown in the above posts, after I have done some "distressing" on it with a silver pen. I used some up-close pictures of Indy's Smith&Wesson revolver from Raiders . I'm still trying to figure out what to do about adding a lanyard loop to the ...
