Looks like I am a little late to this party but I am having the same problem with my Mag/HJ/AB. Since it is HJ felt would it be a poor idea to steam the brim and reshape or should I give it a try?

Always worried about that dreaded taper!

Hey everyone, I am going to be in Laughlin this weekend and I hear it is going to be very hot. Well I would like to take my hat with me (Mag/HJ/AB), but I have been reading many threads about heat, water, humidity, pretty much everything being a threat to my beloved stovepipe. Anyway, my question is...

Flip the front?

I really like the way Indy's hat looks when the brim gets flipped up in the front, I also like the way it looks on my hat as well. But I am more concerned with the well being of my lid than I am with flipping the front of it up. So my question is, does it hurt the hat any to flip the brim up. Can it...

The hat is indeed floppy and very soft Hollowpond. Although I want to eventually get it even floppier. I was watching Raiders and noticed that when Indy is riding the horse the wind against him flips the brim of the hat up. Now that is floppy! Alphared: I measured the crown it is 5 1/4 tall.
