Looks pretty good. I would think with a little hand shaping on the brim it could pass for an Indy hat. I mostly want it for display and as a costume at halloween. Don't need to invest in the more expensive hats. Thought this looked like a good alternative. Thanks for the pictures.

I cut the stitches on mine so I still have the intact strap but am working on replacing it with a leather one.

Thanks for your advise. So far I've sprayed 1/2 a bottle of febreeze on it and let is hang outside all weekend. I think it's a little better but I'll probably try the sink washing method. Mine isn't very green already and I'd like to the look and stamps it has now.
