Re: Top Secret Hats 5% coupon code (for Christy's hats)

I too got the email from Topsecret/formerly Hornets, having already been on their mailing list from buying a Christy's Adventurer. I plan to buy a Swerford because I measured my Adventurebilt Deluxe from Mr. Delk and it would appear that the folks at TopSecret have attempted to get the exact dimensi...

I agree with zeus36 on this one. I think that every costume detail in this has been more carefully thought out than in the previous movies (as is evidenced by the costumer's take on the hat and why he ended up going with an AB. They are paying attention to detail a lot more. I can speak for my own e...

$1400 for a jacket doesn't sound like a "factory direct price" (as it says on his website) to me. If your little bird is accurate, _, which it may be, he may shoot himself in the foot because this little collection of fans are some of the only people that may hear about them. We're the onl...

Well, I've ordered my handmade CS hat from Steve already (Steve, can't wait!), but if a factory made replica with the AB seal of approval and standards was available at a less expensive price, I'd buy one of those as well so I can keep my handmade one for more special occasions and not be afraid to ...

No, I'm sorry, I don't, but I'm assuming the conversion to .45 ACP was done at the same time as the two different frame assemblies were paired.

Yeah, I know, it is nice...I got extremely lucky. I paid just $450 for it, so that made it even luckier!

My father-in-law got lucky recently though and picked up a Browning Hi-Power in near-mint condition for only $250 from a friend of his...maybe I can get him to part with it!

Hey michaelb...I seem to remember paying Lee $249 or something like that for the jacket (which I thought was good deal)...the size wasn't perfect for me at the time being a 44 but Lee had it in hand already and rather than wait for a smaller size I had him send that one. It fit me for years as a lay...

Thanks everyone...I feel like it's served me well...I'm not sure where I come down on the durability argument...on the one hand, as pointed out, a lot of leather jackets I've seen stand up more than 20 years (hence, some of the 70's caramel-colored, wide-collared numbers you see at the Salvation Arm...

You'd think so, starks_6! But no, it's genuine wear and tear...I just haven't been careful with it...

DoubleOhSeven, yes, it's lambskin and it's quite thin in some spots at this point!

My Webley MkV/VI Hybrid

Hey all, new to COW but not new to Indy collecting...was a long time member of the Indyfan forum and just never joined COW until now... Came across this Webley back in 1998. The lower grip and trigger assembly is a MkV with the birds head grip and the top strap, 6 inch barrel and cylinder are a MkVI...

My 17 Year old Raiders Jacket

Hey everyone! New to COW, but not new to Indy costume collecting. I actually started back in 1991 (well, I really started when I was 7 and walked out of the theater after seeing Raiders the first time), but 1991 was when I first saw Lee Keppler's ad in the back of Lucasfilm magazine (pre-internet), ...
