Re: Whip cracking combos

Hello! It always better to watch then read ;). If you know how whip should walk through every crack (some people can just look on a moving whip, think a while and say: this whip should go like that... and than I will crack it) than you just need to practise that move. If you can't recognise how whip...

Hello, You just swing your whip back. Try to pull it using your wrist. To feell that try to make only two cracks. Start with the overhead end on crack behind your head. It will be simillar to first to cracks of the volley. Same thing with the second part. You begin from the hungarian pig drover (ove...

Hello everybody! It's my latest whip I made. 9 ft 12 plait, kangaroo hide. Lead under turk's head. Not very heavy, so it doesn't tired the hand when cracking. Also has very nice taper and smooth action. It's very nice whip to crack, at least I think so :). http://a.imageshack.us/img824/3109/no61.th....

Re: Recommend an inexpensive 8' whip for me

Try to get some used whip of known maker, or new 8 plait whip. It should cost around 200-250 usd.

If you want you can always take nylon whip. Those are cheap and good whips(for me only poor substitute :P).

Hi,

I was trying to say that You need to tight that turks head ;), not tack loose strands to the whip :P. And You can do it using stiching fid for example (http://www.eleathersupply.com/lacetools.shtml fid at the bottom of the site).
