Re: Indy’s satchel as an E.D.C.
I had Mr. Magnoli make me a custom satchel with a modern interior out of leather. I have been using it as my edc bag. It's been quite handy.

Re: Extra long bag strap
Fwiw the solution that I came up with is to order a second Magnoli bag strap & I will use the holes for the Chicago screws to rivet them together & then sew them. After that I will cut them to the proper length. I'll be sure to post pics when I'm done.

Removing spots from an Advintage Fedora
Good evening ladies & gentlemen.
I have an Advintage fedora that has some spots on the brim that won't come out with a sponge or a brush.
Any suggestions as to what I should do short of a full clean & block?
Thanks!

Back in 2010 I sent my Aldens in for recrafting in March & I got them back on July 5th. All that they did was put a new sole & heel on along with globs of glue inside of them that I spent an hour peeling & scraping off. The uppers looked exactly that same.

If they are anything like the ones that I've seen in person they aren't very close. There is a big raised bit of leather in between the toe stitching.

Beautiful piece of gear, Bruce. =P~ I'm a huge fan of the USMC fighting knife. It just oozes history. A fur felt Dorfman Pacific. :-k Yep, they've been around for years, and actually that's a pretty decent price for one. With proper craftsman attention, they actually make very nice looking hats when correctly bashed. We've seen quite a few examples posted here after a visit to a hat maker. Regards!...
