I probably should have specified that I used a hat sponge.

Do you think that using a wetted sponge might work?

I had Mr. Magnoli make me a custom satchel with a modern interior out of leather. I have been using it as my edc bag. It's been quite handy.

Fwiw the solution that I came up with is to order a second Magnoli bag strap & I will use the holes for the Chicago screws to rivet them together & then sew them. After that I will cut them to the proper length. I'll be sure to post pics when I'm done.

Removing spots from an Advintage Fedora

Good evening ladies & gentlemen.

I have an Advintage fedora that has some spots on the brim that won't come out with a sponge or a brush.

Any suggestions as to what I should do short of a full clean & block?

Back in 2010 I sent my Aldens in for recrafting in March & I got them back on July 5th. All that they did was put a new sole & heel on along with globs of glue inside of them that I spent an hour peeling & scraping off. The uppers looked exactly that same.

I need to clean my ABC beaver fedora. I've read how to do it with naphtha in a bucket. My question is do I need to take the liner & sweat out of it to do so?

I have ordered several neckties from this company since I found them. I have a black, khaki, & brown uniform neck tie, a red, a crimson & navy stripe, & a red, white & blue stripe necktie. I am planning on ordering some more when I get my next paycheck.

If they are anything like the ones that I've seen in person they aren't very close. There is a big raised bit of leather in between the toe stitching.
