Maybe it's the angle, but your Magnoli HJ seems to have an excellent degree (if degrees can be excellent) of reverse taper, something my Magnoli HJ sadly lacks! What a fine looking hat, mercat. Fantastic! Enjoy. =)

Yeah...I say order your normal size. Mine was slightly big on me as well (normal hat size - not a size up), but fits perfectly now after I shrunk down the sweatband a bit.

I had a go at re-bashing my Fed4 today, and I am curious what people think (especially compared to what it looked like earlier in this thread). My center dent hits the 4-inch mark in back and the 4.5-inch mark in front (should it be a bit higher in front?). I've applied a bit more Fuller's Earth too...

I quite like the look of that shape. It's kind of got an inverse taper like the Raiders hat! I think you should keep it, unless it really is too bloody big. Maybe you could shrink it down a bit, but better safe than sorry. Pretty cool, though! Love it!
