Sallah's Red Fez / Tarboosh.....HELP NEEDED
Hi everyone. Like many of you have already done, I get to meet John Rhys-Davies (Sallah) at out local Calgary Ent. & Comic Expo this April. I'm also a huge Indiana Jones autograph collector, and want to get Mr. Rhys-Davies to sign a red fez/tarboosh just like the one he wore in the Last Crusade....

Me personally, I would only go with glass, as acrylic scratches. Also notice that this company offers a name plate to go with it.....perfect for your Indy details (made by, which movie, etc...)

A little expensive, but check this one out. The inside dimensions would fit a fedora just nicely with room to spare. I'm thinking of getting one myself for my AB CS http://www.crystalcaseworks.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=FIRE-201&Category_Code=FIRE" onclick="...

Thanks for the reply Peter. My intention was to gt a close to the original as possible, and it looks like I achieved that. I prefer satin in the sleeves for my jackets, but for this jacket, cotton is fine as I wanted costume accuracy.

Re: Wested's HERO jacket...
That's funny. I originally received a Hero with satin sleeves and the regular Wested label (not the Leather Consessionairs), so I sent it back. It was my simple understanding that the entire lining was to be cotton so I mentioned that, and that's what I got in my replacement. Was the original not al...

Hi everyone, sorry if this has been covered as I haven't read the entire thread. Is the inside lining of the Hero suppost to be all cotton including the sleeves. Looking at his web page, and other items on it, I now know I've been in his shop. It's in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. I rotate mine all the time. Actually none of my Jackets have sat on a hook longer than a few weeks. Some are warmer than others, and some much lighter, so you could say I have a Wested for all seasons.

Just my 2 cents...I also find that taking a wide (1/2 - 3/4 inch) elastic and cutting it to be not continuous, and then placing it flat under the sweatband, one on each side, or one at each end (depending on where you prefer), this helps a bit for those that need a minor adjustment as I did. John, I just tried to buy one, and the shipping to Alberta, Canada was also $137 US. I quickly removed the item from the cart. Something's wrong with that. Ever AIR FEDEX would be about $80.
