It's probably NOT the buckle that's at fault, it's the webbing. I have worn webbing belts for about 15 years. Over time, the webbing gets worn and smooth, and the bar can't grab as well as it used to. Before buying new parts, try removing the buckle, and flipping it to the other side of the webbing....
