various parts are everyday wear, but i've only worn my full gear (in public) once, at the KOTCS midnight premier. no, make that twice; i wore the whole thing again at the "normal people" premier the next day(or later that day, if you like).

i wish i'd been older during ebay's heyday; there used to be so many good deals there. Nowadays you're more likely to find a bargain browsing actual shops. i got an old knox for $15 at an antique shop(the real kind, not one of those fleamarket types that put a price tag on anything with rust on it.).

bit late to this thread, but i wanted to throw in my 2cents. the only real difference among those paracord(apart from the small diff in diameter) are the number of inner strands - the stronger ones will have more inner strands. since you're going to de-core the paracord anyway, i'd say go with the 5...

I've had my Fed III for about a year now, and recently it's started to taper rather noticeably due to post-rain-neglect. Funny thing is, I've been getting a lot more "nice hat" comments recently, and I'm thinking a bit of taper must suit me better than the straight-sided Raiders style.
