Thanks for the suggestions. I'll look for a tailor here in NYC that can resew the jacket with Tex-60, and turn it in once the weather gets warm. I'll let y'all know how it turns out.

Cheers! - glh

Wow - glad I could spur a conversation :)

The jacket was made by Wested in UK. I am in NYC, and for those who have had their jackets repaired - do I look for a leather specialist, a tailor, or what?

The wear is gentle daily use. I put it on, wear it to the office where I take it off and hang it up. Same story going home. Last week I put my hand in my pocket and the seam gives - just by putting my hand in it. Then, today, I notice threads hanging from other seams - making me believe that this is...

Wested LC Jacket Coming Apart

It's been just over a year since I took possession of my Wested LC Jacket, and already the seams are showing wear. I have threads unraveling and one slip pocket gave way all together - without any help from me. It's coming apart at the seams - literally. Some time ago in this forum someone made the ...

Oops - sorry. Your post read that you would end up with a Wested anyway, so I assumed you had ordered a Wested.

Well, when you DO order a Wested you'll know where to put your stats.

that configuration does look alot better for sure. is this standard now on the wested LC? I would assume so. My only custom mods were to have an additional inside pocket and the cotton lining. So what you see is how he made it for me. Except for the sleeves being a "little" too long, and ...

Wested LC Cow RECEIVED!

I received my Wested LC Cow on 9/03. That's 27 working days and 37 contiguous days. The jacket was custom, and delivered to Houston, Texas. I did not receive a shipping notification. The jacket is excellent - heavier than I expected. Gemma did not get in my change for underarm gussets (PO'd about th...

Tracking Wested Manufacturing and Delivery Times

Many people here, myself included, have queried what the end-to-end time for getting a (custom) Wested jacket made and delivered. To get some quantitative data on the subject, I open this thread for people to post when they make their order, and when they receive the finished product. In this way, w...

Dear Sir,
All orders are taking 21-28 working days from the date order have been processed.
When the order is completed you will be emailed with a tracking number
Thanks Gemma
Holy smokes! Gemma is saying 21-28 WORKING days - that means 4-6 weeks.

I'm Wested #7006, placed on July 26th. Let's see, 7006 less 6093 plus 1 is 14 "orders" in seven days (assuming he placed the order on July 19th, and was notified on July 20th) 914 orders....which doesn't seem right. Auggh! I hate it when I get my math wrong. And yes, if they're getting 91...

Why not phone or skype me. Skype? I've searched for "Wested" in the UK and no hits. What's Peter's Skype? I tried phoning but no answer. I ended up faxing my order because it's a Bad Idea(tm) to send CC info over email. I've found working with Wested to be "slightly" frustrating...

The jacket looks awesome!

The horsehide looks better than I expected. I've orderd my Wested LC jacket just a few days ago, and I asked for the "more durable material" which I assumed is between the horse, goat, and cowhide (although goat was not an option on the website.) I'm waiting for a response from Gemma regar...
