I remember having one of these back in the day and had the solvent issue within the first month of wearing it. Something splashed on the front of the jacket and I ended up with a two inch black spot on an otherwise brand new jacket. The skin might be light and tough as nails but the coloring wasn't....

I heard a while back that J Crew would be selling Aldens. It's finally come to pass. The great thing is even though the Aldens are marked up a bit. J Crew offers up huge discount codes all the time.

I get a 20% discount code for J Crew emailed to me monthly...sometimes more.

By your list, it sounds like you are a true 50L. Standard Westeds fit loose hence the 48 fits you and TN fits small hence the 52 fits you. Your 50s are on the money. Getting measured by a pro would definitely get you a proper starting point but that's only a starting point as manufacturers vary.

US Wings pretty much standardizes the measurements of their Indy jackets to fit the masses. A 27+ inch back length though fairly long for an Indy jacket is pretty common for other types of jackets. The looser cut insures that it'll fit a wide range of people. Ford's Raiders did have a 23 inch back b...

I agree. The thinness of the jacket is the best part.
