Re: $500K Fedora
It sold for more than the Raiders Cairo hat, and there's no really convincing evidence that Harrison Ford ever even wore it. There were dozens of hats per film made for Ford and the stuntmen. Why on earth would Ford need to share his screen-worn hats with a stuntman as claimed in the now-deceased st...

No Indy style hats, but I do have their Guy Williams Zorro hat, which Guy's son was selling around 2005.They were available in rabbit or beaver. Re: Idol Grab VS Peru Jungle Fedora: Differences?
Yeah, that top idol great really looks like dark sable. There's another photo montage with a lot more pictures of the RAIDERS hat at different angles. I think someone put it together to help people shape their hats. I'd post it, but unfortunately I've forgotten how to post pictures on this site, so...

+1.I don't care what anyone says about color correction, or whatever-- the dark sable just looks TOO dark to me. But get whichever looks right to you.IJJTM wrote:They claim it’s the color used in the film, but on screen most of the time it looks like a normal sable to my eyes.

Hard to tell for sure. The effect is not extreme or erratic, but can clearly be seen in the photos of the Cairo hat from the auction of a few years back. The one late 80s--early 90s era HJ I still own (that Swales himself made for me) has a dimensional cut and an unevenly trimmed brim that looks as though it was done by hand with scissors, like the Prop Store auction TOD hat in the recent Adam Savage video. This is interesting, but a bit hard to swallow; anyone who has bought Indy hats from HJ as far back as the late 80s, as I I have, knows that the dimensional brim cut was a known and regular component of those hats. So (at least on those post-RAIDERS hats) it wasn't just an illusion caused by an exte...
