So, when will these holsters be available for sale?

My own take on the Akubra Federation Deluxe

I got a new hat for my birthday! I had previously owned an Akubra Federation Deluxe in Moonstone, but I actually ordered too small of a size, and didn’t wear it super often, so I sold it. It left me wanting another AFD, so I got one in Heritage Fawn (and in the right size). I shaped my first AFD lik...

7UP Indiana Jones Fedora

I came across a curious hat at an antique store the other day. It was tagged as an “Indiana Jones 7UP promo fedora” from 1984. Well, there’s no doubt as to the 7UP tie in, but it’d be the first licensed Indiana Jones hat I’ve ever seen that doesn’t say “Indiana Jones” somewhere on the hat. Given the...

Glad to hear all this. I placed my order for a beaver HJ. Not that it was cheap, but I saved myself about $300 getting it now as opposed to when there is a more typical exchange rate between the USD and GBP.

With the USD being so favorable against the GBP right now, I’m considering ordering a HJ Raider sable beaver. How do you distinguish the good Stetsons from the bad ones? I know some were wool, and some were rabbit. Some had liners, and some did not. All were pre-shaped (some with a teardrop, some with a center cent). Is there a way to identify the good Stetsons?

It’s been a couple years since I’ve posted here, but when I was last active, it was commonly accepted that Indy generally wore HJs in the first three movies and Adventurebilt in KotCS, with a few exceptions. I ordered the hat new from ScoutShop, I can confirm that they are still made by Stetson. I think older BSA Campaign hats were made by Stratton. I recently ordered a BSA campaign hat. I ordered my normal size (61, or 7 5/8), and although it's comfortable from front to back, it fits a little large in the sides. I'm unsure of whether I should exchange it for a smaller size, here's why: It's 100% wool, which I know doesn't hold its shape like f...

My own personal opinion - if you feel that carrying a gun makes you safer, you should be willing to forego a stylish holster for a functional one. A strap over the back of the grip with a thumb break snap would secure your gun just as well (or better) and make for a much less cumbersome draw. It doe...
