Really don't bother at all with the "official" LC clover zippo, its just painted on. The work of Relic Raider looks better, is really durable, and can be used without worring about it.

Definitely go with Relic Raiders work, and not for the official zippo version.

I'd say the one in the movie is a 200 brushed. But you couldn't be sure cause the paint they used covers what would be brushed. I got RR's 200 brushed Gen 5 version and it's GREAT!

As soon as I got the zippo one I was mad cause you can just tell that the paint will just scratch off right away, so I didn't use it at all. Than as soon as I got my RR masterpiece I sold the official zippo version, its basically trash compared to RR's work.

Yes its a great purchase, you won't regret it. Especially if you've tried to ever make one on your own, RR's work is a dream come true.

I use it everyday but don't really take it out of the house much. It stays on an end table to use and look at. When I do take it out people get fascinated by it. Relic Raider does such great work I get offers to buy if off me, and I have to watch over it carefully for thieves...

Yeah I do sound work and I've heard the sound designer Ben Burtt talk about it before. He did all the sound in the films so they would be like ones you would read in a comic book. Everything is exaggerated, you notice it with the punches.

They are very similar but the tristar fits better and has a better spring mechanisim that keeps the zippo shut tighter. As far as a custom thing I got some mini bic lighters thinking they could just slip into the shell but even the mini is a bit too long. Its a shame, when it comes to butane there's...

I've tried 3 different ones that I could get my hands on. The "Z plus" totally broke after just a couple of days. "Thunderbird" was not too bad but the construction is a little weak. And this one now has been pretty good. Some guy on ebay sells just inserts out of Germany. It is ...

Yea the studio clover is not good at all if you want to actually use it. The paint is really weak. RR's G5 all the way. It is more accurate to the film and can easily take normal use. Now if they just made a butane insert that was reliable... :(

I got one of RR's new G5 lighters a couple weeks ago. It is so great... Its been said alot at this forum but I'll say it again. Relic Raider is GREAT with an amazing product. The only place you need to go if you want a "lucky charm" that is accurate and durable.
