Thanks VP,
I guess it want be as hard as I thought. I'm not looking for an exact Indy look just a close resemblance, so it will probably be even easier for me as I'm not looking for perfection, just what I think looks good on me.

I ordered my Federation yesterday
:D I made the plunge and ordered the Federation from Hates Direct. I placed the order online and then called and talked to Ron last night to verify size. He is one heck of a nice guy and very helpful. I tried to get him to shape the hat for me to get it close, but he didn't feel comfortable in doing...

Yeah, over the years I've owned several more modern/modified 1911 and one Ruger .40. I just never liked the looks of the modern auto pistols, they where all fine guns though. I'm actually a revolver fan, they have more appeal to me in both looks and reliable functionality, but I've always liked the ...

1911 Purchase Opinions
OK....I know this isn't a gun site, but I like to hear peoples opinions and their sometimes good points. I used to carry a Colt 1911 “Compact” (6 round clip, short barrel). For practical reasons I switched to a large bore revolver snub nose for my everyday carry. So the Colt has been locked away for...

They definitely should have known that it was against Federal Trademark laws to sell items, acquired through liquidated stock or not, under their banner bearing another companies name tag, and without that companies knowledge or approval. It was their responsibility to inspect each and every shipme...

That is too #### funny! They just sewed over the USWings label. Priceless. That is indeed a nice jacket for the money. Any chance you could post some measurements , like sleeve and back length? Would help others(like me) figure their size. Thanks, 'Blues Here are your dimensions. http://i47.p...

Well, the Protocol “Sportsman’s Guide” jacket arrived yesterday. Here are some pics. It is indeed an Indy jacket, made by US Wings, but imported from China. The sleeves are the 3 piece type. The leather does seem a little thin, but then again, I’ve been wearing and am used to the new A2 horsehide. A...

IMHO if you want a jacket for outdoor type of use, you might want to consider the flightsuits expedition in goat. some feel they hold up better than a Wested, (let the debate begin). But they are a great jacket. Yeah, I went to their site and it looks more like what I'm looking for. The Sportsmangu...

Well hello fedoralover, I recognize you. It was your post that made me decide to send the A2 back. Then if I was doing that, I might as well decide for sure what Jacket I wanted. I’m not one to throw money around on jackets I want wear. I ordered the Indy similar jacket from Sportmansguide, and figu...

U.S. Authentic Jacket
New here and can't find that the question has been asked before. Has anyone done a review on the U.S. Authentic jacket? I recently bought an A-2 horsehide russet from them. It seems pretty good quality for the price although the zipper is somewhat cheap. I'm going to send it back either for a refund...

Bought it.....Pics available Thursday.
Hey Everybody, I'm new in town, found your site last week when doing research on this same jacket before ordering. I wasn’t necessarily looking for an authentic style Indy jacket, just similar. They say it has an adjustable strap on a rear vent.?? It should arrive tomorrow (Wed.). When it does, I’ll...
