I'd be worried that the powder has deteriorated to the point that it acts like a squib load, where there's enough to propel it out of the casing but lodges partway down the barrel. Then trying to shoot it out will only damage the barrel and possibly you as well.

but sometimes are overwhelmed. standard sizes may not have issues, but special orders may be a little harder.

You know, I ordered a black XXL and had some problems. The jacket is tight on me when buttoned, but the Doctor wore it open anyway, I suppose. I ordered mine off the rack too, Once I lose my gut a bit it will fit better. BTW, based on my experience English sizes are not cut for us portly Americans....
