It would be nice to think that in future Wested could be permitted to offer exact pattern clothing from NH, when the backlog of all original NH products has been sold.

Keeping the legacy of NH alive, perhaps becoming a joint Wested / NH signature line, but with accessible prices to fans.

Making a shirt from non SA material

For use in Africa where weight restrictions are sometimes imposed for baggage allowance on safari transfers, (or indeed for other very hot climes), I would love to have an accurate pattern / colour shirt made from a moisture wicking quick drying type material, for handwashing in a basin and hang dry...

Seems to depend on the light: on the left pic looks clean, right looks "adventured in". Perhaps a more liberal dusting of fullers will do the trick? Keep the five o'clock shadow as well. Will it be inside or out? And will you be jacketed, or going SOC style? In the end, what represents Ind...

With my Fed III, because of living in Portugal and taking it to Africa I cut the plastic liner out using sharp nail scissors: just pull it away from the satin liner, give it a tight crease and make the first cut, then follow the line of the stitch allowing a mm +/-. In very hot conditions the old pl...

Peter, I am an infrequent poster here, but I am planning to visit my folks in England during August: I'm going to come by the factory as I said in another thread to KT Templar, but if you could possibly postpone your idea of an Indy weekend by a fortnight or so it would be a privilege to meet you in...

Thanks for the replies so far: I'll try and get up some pictures of the old whip later. I'd put its age at somewhere around pre 1940. I think its an 8 footer and I remember after use my grandfather would chew salt into the leather. Looking at it now I would say the fragile part is the leather betwee...

2 part question: Can anyone offer experience of buying an 8 or 10 ft raiders whip from a European manufacturer? I played for and lost five bucks - the five minute thing draws you in: the chess shark (in fact a very nice guy with a host of chess move advice) plays like lightening forcing you to do the same. But if you just play calm, five minutes is a lot of time. I actually had him in check for one move which...

I've just returned from my bi-annual NYC trip which included the Yankee's opener, The Bronx Zoo, many dinners and generally other non-touristy things that I get up to when I visit. Of course I took the Akubra and it received many admiring glances and comments, especially from the Jazz cats down in t...
