(Petersham, isn't hat band quality at all and should not be used on hats. They have no edge to them. Grosgrain, has and edge but there are hatband quality grosgrain and not hat band quality grosgrain. To make a good hat block out of wood the first thing you need to do is get a good piece of wood. I had a 2" x 8" laying around which actually is 1.5" x 7.5" and to get a hat block that will be tall enough you will need 5 layers glued together in a stack. http://home.insightbb.com...
