Re: Nowak Raiders jacket owners: A Question

Yep, that's definitely the Raider's design. At first it bothered me intellectually that the fit was 'off' when I received my Raiders jacket from Tony. But that stopped fairly quickly. Whenever I've gotten a new jacket I would tend to wear it more often than any of my older ones but after a while it ...

I never used to use my bag much but then I got an iPad. I started scouring the net looking for some type of unique case to carry it in and then it hit me. Would my iPad fit into my Mark VII bag? Perfect fit! Now I use one of my bags on a daily basis for iPad, iPhone, accessories, power inverter, p/s...

Yep, I totally got you. I totally hear what you're saying when it comes to how conspicuous the gold lettering can be. I've had at least one stranger notice it and ask me what it was. I explained that the jacket is a reproduction of an Indiana Jones jacket made by a guy who made them for one of the films. "Hey that's r...

How much do people recognize yours as Indy's?

I would have to agree that most people would generally not recognize a jacket to be an Indy jacket even if it really was one. There were a couple of times around the time Crystal Skull was in the theaters that I received some Indy comments when wearing one of my "real" Indy jackets but I t...

That a really great jacket. If I ever buy another it seems that Magnoli would have to be given top consideration. That would have to apply to non-Indy jackets as well. There is a magic can't explain. After 27 years I realise my dream. First whip was a rope from the ship. It was 1982 or 1983. Ah, the "rope whip". Thanks for taking me briefly back to '82! Those were the days. Does anyone not remember that feeling when they got their first "real"...

If asked I would have to say that the Raiders jacket needs to be as dark as possible. Having said that, I love the look of the jacket in the Raven bar scenes. Just to give the other side of the story.... I'd artificially distress it if I were you. Part of the charm to me of the Indy jacket is that it looks like it's been battered and trampled.
