Re: Indy Jackets You Were Not Quite Satisified With

I have a Wested custom Raiders from around 2010- it was just before the time the Hero was being developed. It's got a lot of features that the Hero ended up having, but it didn't do the off the shoulder look, and it ended up being too short as a result. I was always trying to stretch it out, sleeves...

This is the Cooper Sportswear jacket. I came across it in an add as part of my Lucasfilm Fanclub membership. Plus which, I don't know how I could get the Hero shoulder width to be any narrower. It's already a size 38, and that's the smallest Wested will go. 36 would definitely be too small, anyways. Those seams do hang mighty low off them shoulders, but I don't mind that one bit. I think the back has been ...

I'm looking at getting a hero in a 38, but with the regular back length of 23 inches. Just get an inch and a half extra in the sleeves and leave it at that. I don't see the shoulder width getting any narrower, since 38 is the smallest size Wested offers. I am open to suggestion. In all candor, I can...

Re: The "Long" Road to THE Jacket (Lengthening the Wested He

It's deceptively baggy. When I zip it up fully, it actually snugs up pretty well. I set out to over size the jacket. Well, originally, I had ordered a size forty regular, and the front panels looked too baggy and didn't sit well. So I exchanged it for a 38 long, if you will. The front panels were va...

I'm a Wested fan, and I absolutely adore my authentic brown lambskin Hero. I'm with Whiskyman in that the pattern is generally so "off" that I can't really seem to get the "look". It's a wonky jacket for sure, and it almost takes an "Indy Build" to make it look right. I...

Re: Wested's HERO jacket...

Quick question....What is a "yoke dip" The "yoke dip" refers to the yoke being pushed further down the back, such that the top seams fall off the shoulders, as demonstrated in my picture. I surmise this is to facilitate a longer back, as opposed to just making a longer back panel.
