Re: Can't walk around with a gun in a holster?

Of course not, but you can walk around with your PHONE in a very Indy-esque PHONE holster ! This guy isn't an Indygear member and does more real life Drake's Uncharted/Fortune repros, but this was too cool not to share. They're about sixty bucks USD and made to measure for your particular brand. ht...

Re: Anything I can do to make this more accurate?

Is there any modifications I could make to this pistol I got at a gun show to make it more accurate? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170925/277658fa992c5c0d4cb462b9d4265203.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Practice, practice and more practice, is the best thing. Re: Hand Ejector 2 “Bapty” vs. other S&W’s

I recently took some photos making a comparison between the Raiders S&W Hand Ejector II "Bapty", and a couple of other popular 'close enough' revolvers, and thought I’d share them here :) A few things that may not be immediately apparent to those unfamiliar with these firearms: An unc...

Re: Hand Ejector 2 “Bapty” vs. other S&W’s

I was not thinking about Indy gear, but about a year ago I picked up a nice S&W Hand Ejector, cicra 1921 in 32-20, off Gunbroker. Thanks to possessing a C&R license UPS delivered to my hands. My goal had been to get a revolver to match up with my Marlin CL also in 32-20, and I succeeded nice...

Like Fedora said, move south. I'm in E. Texas, grew up in La, and spent time in the USAF in Fla and Ga. Down here you see everything from gimmie caps to dress hats, popularity in that order. Personally I may wear my Fedora one day and a cowboy the next depending on how I feel. We wear westerns with ...

I would be most honored to receive that as a gift. I absolutely love the blocking.

Now If I were ordering I would prefer a much narrower binding on the brim, but that's just me.

It is simply beautiful.

Try gungrips.com or vintagegungrips.com. There used to be a company in Castleberry, Fla that made them. I got a set for my father in law's old
S&W top break. It's been so long I do not have any info.

Good Luck

According to the MI6 armorer in "Dr. No", it has a delivery "like a brick through a plate glass window". Hope this helps -GCR That line always tickled me, as a 7.65 was also referred to as a 9mm 'short', and had about the same velocity as a .32. Pretty anemic round. I mean, a pe...

That's a nice looking hat, though! It looks good on you. It's all the better that your hatter is nearby! Keep in mind, though, that the Beaver Brand hats are beaver blends and not full, 100% beaver hats. The system of using XXXXX to notate beaver content used to mean something decades ago, but now ...

Re: Sizing Up for a Fedora?

Hi all, I'm OBVIOUSLY going to order an Adventurebilt ;) , but I am curious whether I should add a few inches to my measurement? I bought a Dobbs fedora at the end of last year, and when I first tried it on, it was very loose... So I put it in my closet (in the hat box) for a few months, and earlie...

I've got a Colt Delta Gold Cup stainless, 10mm, slightly customized with beavertail grip safety, extended slide release and safety, and a set of nice cocobolo checkered grips. It has to be my favorite handgun and one of the best shooters. I reload and generally load a bit on the light side to keep f...

I've never heard of shellac coming off on someone's hand due to sweat. Shellac seems to only dissolve in alcohol or mineral spirits; I don't believe it's water soluble. A lot of whips are shellacked, it just happens that this shellac is tinted. Most shellac comes off due to abrasion. With this whip...

Different style

I know this is not specific to an Indy forum, but where could one find a large type hat such as the Allan Quartermain style as in King Solomons Mines, or that as worn by Sean Connerly in The League of Extraordinary gentlemen?

I do not care about screen accurate. When I ordered my first a couple of weeks ago I told Steve to make it as a nice dress type hat. That way I shall gradually conform and naturally distress it to my liking via use.

If it's Japanese, an Ariska . It has strange safety, a knurled knob on rear of bolt meant to be turned and engaged by pushing and turning with palm of hand. Some models also had what were called aircraft wings, little metal tabs about 1.25-1.5" long on rear sight which folded out to side, to ai...

Those hammers look rather rough. I improved my1935 by sending to Cylinder and Slide, somewhere in Nebraska for a new hammer, cnc machined sear and hammer and BarSto barrel. Now has a great trigger pull and is a fine accurate shooter.

The magazine safety only prevents the arm from firing with the magazine removed. Removal will do a lot in getting rid of a gritty feeling trigger pull. I had mine done with an aftermarket trigger sear, hammer along with a match grade barrel fitted by Cylinder and Slide out in Nebraska and the gun sh...
