Ford on Indy's hat

Here's an excerpt from a "new on dvd" interview feature on MSN, in which Harrison Ford directly addresses the continuity issue of Indy's hat. Thought you guys might find his response interesting: Are we to believe that Indy has this indestructible hat that survives from adventure to advent...

Dig on the article. All the points hit perfectly. Good job! Cheers! Dan Thanks, Dan. I'm glad you liked the article. It was pretty hard hitting the big points with only 350 words to work with. Steve's quest really deserves feature-length treatment. Yeah, they took it off the homepage after K...

Great article, I just wish it had gotten into the newstand copy as well. Bill Thanks! Actually, it did make it into May newstand issue--p.63. Looks like the June issues are already supplanting this, but you might still find it some places. Look for a red sportscar on the cover (not Indy, unfortunat...

Adventurebilt on homepage of Men's Vogue Online!

Hey, Adventurebilt didn't make the cover of the print issue, but they've shifted my article on Steve, Marc, and the Adventurebilt quest to the featured article on the Men's Vogue homepage. Check it out: http://www.mensvogue.com/ Congratulations guys! I just got back from the matinee. Tremendous work...

Includes a nice Cairo market shot I've never seen before. :P The caption under it kind of implies it's Steve's hat in a CS scene? Oh well,.... Yeah, something seems to have gotten confused in the transition from print to online. In the print article the Cairo picture was correctly used to il...

I'll have to pick this one up to check out your article. The issue should be on the racks of Barnes and Nobles, Borders, etc. across the country by now. And, yeah, Men's Vogue hasn't been around too long. On the whole, the writing in it and coverage is pretty good, maybe a notch more refined than y...

I'm not sure we would want to see this, and in New York City we're used to a lot of strange stuff . . .

Still working on getting the article online. Hope to have an update soon.

From the writer: Marc is cited in the article.

Dear forum members, Please be aware that I did make absolutely certain Marc was mentioned in the article and, in fact, his name is in there: He is credited as Steve's "partner" during film production. This reference appears towards the end of the article where the number of hats produced f...

 By the way, is there an online version of the article we can get to? Regard! Michaelson Sorry, no online version as of yet. I just checked--the May issue of the magazine is already on display in newstands in Grand Central Station in New York City.

Look for my article on Steve Delk in the May Men's Vogue.

Dear fedora fans, I occasionally write freelance articles for Men's Vogue magazine. My latest and dearest project is a featurette on everyone's favorite hatter, Steve Delk. The article focuses on Steve's quest for the perfect Indy fedora and his role in the production of Indy IV. The article can be ...

Hey, I'm pretty new around here and am no expert, but, to me, the hat definitely looks the best of the new gear. It just looks right on Ford's head, even without the "turn." Adventurebilt really hit the ball out of the park with their work for this film. The subpar hats of TOD and LC alrea...

I happen to work around the corner from the Madison Ave. Aldens in New York City. I normally wear size 10.5. When I went to purchase my pair of boots, I asked the manager of the store regarding the 405's running larger. His response was "your shoe size is 10.5, then get the 10.5 boots." I ...

Hmmm, despite the somewhat malicious title, this has turned into an interesting thread. I'm a newbie here, but feel qualified to respond since I own two pairs of Wested trousers. One of the main reasons I bought the second was that I liked the classic 40's cut so much, particularly the rise. In my o...

Please keep the taper! The taper, to me, really makes the pants. It's slight, but gives the pants just the right silhouette and drape.

I just bought a pair of Aldens 2 weeks ago at the Madison Avenue shop in New York City. They are indeed a red-brown color (more on the brown side). I imagine once they receive some weathering through wear, dirt, and rain they will look pretty close to the "Raiders" boots. These really are ...
