You're absolutly right. To be honest, I can't part with it. I've done too much in it to just let it go.

Sometimes it takes another set of eyes to really see what is going on. All of the input from the indy fans here can lead you to the light.

I've decided to try and patch it. I just love this jacket too much to just toss it aside and get another one. Besides, my wife says it adds character to the jacket.

The M-NU won't rub off on clothes, but it will stain them if it gets on there before it dries. Just be careful when using and let it dry. It doesn't take long. Afterwards, if it chips off down the road, and it will if abuses repeatedly, just re-apply.
