For many years, have stored most of my collection of whips in closed containers (no light) -some whips I have had for more than 25 years. I have not noticed any deleterious effects. I obtained a Mike Brower whip a couple of years ago from an auction site.
I was very pleased with the overall quality and workmanship. It was good value.
It is one of my favorite "users"- good for getting down and dirty.

I was just curious about the lack of attribution in all the talk-up to the DVD.
As a classroom teacher, I understand that enthusiasim and practical experience can be real assets in teaching. It sounds as if you have both.

I don't know for sure, but I can't imagine that Joe or Paul would be precluded from making whatever they want to make.
DM certainly wasn't prevented from making Indy style whips.
But, maybe there is some sort of exclusivity clause/agreement.

Paul Nolan of Midwest Whips would be a good resource regarding Zorro whips. I believe he has made various versions of that particular whip. With some manipulating, stock whips fit just fine.

I am like you, wanting something for carrying a number of whips at once with ancillary storage for incidentals.
The rope bags is the best medium that I have found- so far.

Go with your idea- a better mouse trap and all of that. :) :)

I keep a whip in my car at all times.
I have never discerned any ill effects.

The interesting thing about the forum is you have whip people, you have Indy people, and you have gear people- each with their own priorities and values.

If the Morgan name is of overriding importance to you, then the deal is done- get a Morgan.
