Maybe it's just me, but the crown looks rather tapered for a Raiders hat. :-k

In some of the behind the scenes footage, the hat seems darker and redder than in much of the movie. There's a shot of the hat and jacket laid out on the wing of the flying wing during fight rehearsals for example - or Harrison chatting with John Rhys Davies during the streets of Cairo shoot.

Re: The belted Raiders whip: 8 feet, or longer?

The whips were from Glen Randall's own collection - so they had probably had all sorts of previous stunt use and abuse. In fact didn't Morgan state that although the whips used were of his making, he didn't make any specifically for the film - only for the subsequent films?

Re: Wested's HERO jacket...

To my eyes it's not the Raiders colour. I know behind the scenes pics show a lighter brown, but to me the jacket in the movie is dark - which is what i associate with Raiders. That jacket looks very nice, but it doesn't say Raiders to me.

Great jacket, but I also feel it looks too short. I know that's very disappointing - been there myself! But so much is right about the jacket that it would be a shame not to get it sorted and get the extra length. A hassle, but worth it in the long run.

I like the look of the regular lamb Hero, but to me the dark brown looks a bit too thin. Mostly in Raiders I don't think his jacket appears to be THAT thin.

Any fans of Wested's predistessed hide?

I've been mulling over what leather and style for my next jacket and I'm seriously thinking about getting a standard off-the-peg Raiders, possibly in predistessed hide. I'm not such a fan of the Hero fit, having owned one, and I quite like a heavier leather than "fashion lamb". Anyone have...
