I love Jerry's stuff but this shirt just never held up. The button hole stitching tore off on 4 buttons and the back shoulder near where the sleeve meets the shirt body ripped. This was after 6 times wearing it and 4 washes. My brother had similier problems.

Being born and raised in SF I have lived here most of my life and other than me and my brother I have never seen any indy Jackets on anyone else. Not that there aren't anyone else who owns an indy jacket here. As for its "fashion sense" it is no different from any other metropolitan area. ...

I have asked if they would open a small museum there at the Presidio location. Though space is limited there I always thought it was possible. The Disney Family museum archive is kept up the hill from LFL so why can't Lucas do it?

Just to chime in on this, my buddies work at the ILM in the presidio and other than a few props and statues there are no "archives" there to the best of their knowledge. I have been in there a bunch of times and there really isn't a whole lot to see other than computers and story boards. I...

And just think all I was asking was the differnce between the 2 cuts. Not a knock down drag out fight on why wested will not make the 80's cut the standard cut. I believe Wested will not do the 80's cut because he must cater the fit expectations of today and not the 80's with most of his clientel. L...

I'll bet that most of the guys buying the wested indy jackets don't read this forum and don't sit and watch the movies frame by frame looking for screen accurate jacket. They don't care or really have the time to spend to see if the pockets are right or if the back panels match. All they want is a c...

I take it traveling, motorcycling, even light hiking and outdoor trips. I had a Aero Leather A-2 that I took on numerous trips and servived alot of everyday wear, basicaly it was a tank. But I have had supposedly good leathers wear thin and tear at the shoulders from wearing a backpack on one trip t...

I was thinking of the lamb but I want a leather that is tuff. I have read that the lamb can sometimes be weak. I am pretty "adventureous" while wearing my leather jackets and need a leather that will last. Thats why the goat is number 1 right now. But it may change.......thanks ps. Your ja...

Thanks for all the great info guys. I perfer the more fitted look and it seems that the 80's fit is the way to go. I just hope I can figure out which leather I should go for, lamb or goat? But thats another discussion already well covered here...........................

I somewhat agree. My Raiders collar on my wested does seem in person to be bigger but I think this leads to a bigger arguement. With all on screen comparisons, this can be a bit dubious. For example, when I was in college in LA I worked on production sets from time to time and when I saw props, set ...

Difference between regular fit and 80's fit?

Several months ago I bought a size 40 wested indy in the regular fit and after wearing it awhile (and loosing a little weight) I decided I am not sold on the fit anymore. It is just a little to loose and not as flattering for my slender frame as it could be. So I want to transfer it to winter wear w...
