Hmmm. That looks stiff. Maybe I should think about authentic goat instead!

Does the Horsehide Wested drape like a true Indy jacket?

I've been considering a Horsehide Wested because of its hard wearing qualities as a field jacket. Does anyone out there have any photos of one in use. I don't want to end up with another jacket like the cowhide which is a great jacket but does not capture the right look because of the drape. Love th...

Maybe I'll try a very light wipe with surgical spirit.
The slight removal of pigment is not a displeasing way of achieving a slightly used look anyway! I may even intentionally do this on some highpoints such as the yolk seam and shoulders.

Rubbing Alcohol in the UK?

Where can you actually buy rubbing alcohol in the UK for the purposes of removing the shine on a new Wested? Boots staff look at you as though you are either mad or some kind of terrorist if you suggest that you ought to be able to buy chemicals at a chemists shop! Other stores are similar but at le...

After receiving my Adventurebilt today after an 8 week wait I can confidently say that it was worth it and I'd order from Steve again if ever I needed a replacement. The guy's an artist!

I think that we may be at the end of the line with this source of supply! I think that Kevin has been amazingly helpful and I'm really glad that some COW members will have got good quality MK VII's at reasonable prices. Here's hoping that we don't return to the daft inflated prices too quickly or to...

Very glad that this has been such a succesful post and that some guys have got a good deal.. I talked to Kevin at Endicotts yesterday and he was very pleased, although somewhat bemused at all the interest ( and some of the unusual phone calls he'd had recently! He's been doing business all over the ...

Talk to them on the phone or in person. When I asked about the bags they disappeared off to a stash upstairs! I think these are sold sparingly. They may not be in a hurry to get rid of them. I had a long conversation with one of the guys there and he was very clear that he was unhappy with an ebay-e...

MK VII Bags at sensible prices. UK.

I've just bought an unissued bag at a surplus Store in Exeter for £15. The had plenty of choice from unissued thro' distressed, worn and repaired. The repaired were only £3.50. These guys are well aware of the price on line and are also savvy to people buying to resell so please don't take the micke...

The lost ark website is proving temperamental and the contact us section doesn't have a send button. Interesting! Difficult to order as a result. It may just be my mac does like it! Does anyone have Templars email address to save me wading thro'5 years of members list? Ta. SJ.

H J supposedly closed

Hi. I thought I'd better post something as I effectively kicked this one off with my email. I live about 250 miles from London and spent several days trying to reach HJ via phone. I finally rang their military branch and was redirected. The guy who I finally got to wasn't very well informed but was ...
