Re: S&J LC in thin horsehide?
Hi folks!!! Let's clear something with S&J Horsehide option Since year 2012 approx. we offer Horsehide. And ALWAYS had 2 thicknesses: STANDARD = 1.0 mm thick (the one we recommended for LC and CS jackets. MICHAELSON jacket ) -----> ALL GONE - NO LONGER AVAILABLE THIN = 0.8 mm thick (works great...

Re: S&J LC in thin horsehide?
I see any Indy jackets as 2.5-3 season jacket, regardless of type leather, but that’s just my opinion. I’ve found goatskin to be my best ‘all round’ leather choice for various seasonal wear. I find my S&J thin horsehide a perfect mid range weight. Not too heavy, not too light. I just wish I had...

Great question! I just pulled the trigger on my first Indy Jacket with S&J! Diego has been super responsive and helpful. I too am going with the ‘38. It’s my favorite and raiders very close second. I too was curious about horsehide and thin cowhide. Diego told me the thick/normal cowhide works ...

Hey fellow Indy fans. Recently got a Steele and Jones Crusade jacket in cow and it’s a tad bit fitted. Overall it’s amazing just a smidge too tight. I wanna be able to wear a thicker sweater in it. I ordered a OTR Crusade jacket in predistressed hide from Wested on December 9th and received it on the evening of January 11th. I went with my proper size of 42 and it feels great! Slightly tighter in the chest when zipped up than my OTR Raiders, but that isn't a big deal. My initial thought when ...

Good day all, I have a question about the wested Hero LC jacket. Is the back bottom panel stitched or is it folded over like the legacy LC?
I’m on the fence about which one to get. I plan on getting it in goat skin.

Re: Advintage or Christy’s
Thomas used to offer lower end hats that were a Christy's that he would change the ribbon and swap out the liner and bash to as close as you could get with a Christy's. I don't think he would reblock them as that's a lot of work and would make them quite a bit more expensive than the roughly $100 t...

Re: TN Raiders in 747 Wearing
Leather is a natural material and it is not unusual for some panels to be thinner or softer than others. This may only become aparent when the hide softens. It is highly unlikely leather has worn thinner. The surface would need to be abraided for that to happen. I think Nowak used a thickness of 2....

Hey Jude, don't be afraid (sorry, couldn't resist ;) ). I suspect your jacket is just loosening up, as I can't imagine why the leather would be getting thinner. With these sorts of offerings it is not always certain that the photo is of the jacket you are getting. A common ploy is to use someone else's worth jacket for your photos and sell junk. But I Cady may be more ethical than that. With the Fury jacket, the jacket was exactly like the photo. every det...

I am fully convinced Tony had a screen used jacket. The things I would say are similar are pocket details and placement of collar and seams.
I get it though, that Indy jackets are all related and one big happy family.
