Re: US Wings Jackets
Thanks for the tip Michaelson. I may have thought of that, but then again I probably would have got caught up in the moment of trying on my very first ever Indy jacket. I've only wanted one since I was twelve! Haven't been this excited since I got my first fedora. I ordered a medium Signature Striat...

Re: US Wings Jackets
Thanks for the input gentlemen. I'm not super picky about it being screen accurate, I'm more about overall function. Now I just need to make some inquiries about sizing. I've been reading some old posts and looking at their sizing chart I'll probably go with a medium. I'm 5'7" and about 150lbs....

US Wings Jackets
Hello everyone. I've been here a while now, mostly as a lurker as I don't have as much knowledge to offer as most of you do, but I think I'm finally ready to pull the trigger on a jacket. I've been reading multiple posts and reviews and have decided on US Wings (as hinted to with the title) but I st...

Re: Budget homemade bag
I like it. I built one myself about 7 years ago... with a few mods recently. All told I think it cost me around $5 (not including the strap I got from Todd's). I like the vents and the sketch... very nice, very well planned out.

Re: Shawl-Necked Cardigan
I couldn't pass this one up... just bought the Kohl's sweater and I have to say I'm kinda looking forward to wearing it. I'm not much of a sweater guy, but I just can't pass up Indy-esque items.

When I read some of the novels that take place in colder climates, like Hollow Earth, I have always pictured Indy's winter gear similar to something that Shackleton or Amundsen or any of the other polar explorers would wear. For winter adventuring gear you can't get any better than those fellows. -A...

I haven't seen this type on here yet... at least this brand. They are a pair of 'Work & Sports' I purchased from a Farm&Fleet about 8 years ago now. http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa317/Gatsby84/DSCN3426.jpg http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa317/Gatsby84/DSCN3427.jpg http://i203.photo...

It's almost 5 years old now, so the way it looks is natural wear and tear... although not everyday.

The hat, while the crown looks good the brim comes down waaaay to far in front in these pics. Barring the fact that this hat is definately not a Fed... and the pinch is slightly different, when I hold my hat at the same angle as the picture it looks remarkably similar to the way I have mine shaped....

Passing on a Webley
Well, this happened a month ago, so it's not "breaking news", but I'm just getting time to post it. I was a local gun show expecting to find nothing I wanted... like usual... when I walk past a Webley MKIV a guy had for sale for $450.00. It was chambered in .45 ACP and didn't look in too b...

I wish I could have bough...

Not being a connoseiur (sp?) mind you, I have to say, in my opinion, the Magnoli HJ just has something the SAB HJ doesn't, it might be the color in the lighting. Now for a silly question from a somewhat still newbie... are the brims on those really that large looking in person or is it just the came...

Todd's Dlx Bagstrap
Just purchased my first leather bagstrap from Todd's Costumes... got tired of the nylon one I've been using. I was just curious if anyone has had any experiences where the dye rubs off, or the rivets loosen excessively, or just overall "total bagstrap failure". I imagine they are high qual...
