Re: US Wings Jackets

Thanks for the tip Michaelson. I may have thought of that, but then again I probably would have got caught up in the moment of trying on my very first ever Indy jacket. I've only wanted one since I was twelve! Haven't been this excited since I got my first fedora. I ordered a medium Signature Striat...

Re: US Wings Jackets

Thanks for the input gentlemen. I'm not super picky about it being screen accurate, I'm more about overall function. Now I just need to make some inquiries about sizing. I've been reading some old posts and looking at their sizing chart I'll probably go with a medium. I'm 5'7" and about 150lbs....

US Wings Jackets

Hello everyone. I've been here a while now, mostly as a lurker as I don't have as much knowledge to offer as most of you do, but I think I'm finally ready to pull the trigger on a jacket. I've been reading multiple posts and reviews and have decided on US Wings (as hinted to with the title) but I st...

Re: Budget homemade bag

I like it. I built one myself about 7 years ago... with a few mods recently. All told I think it cost me around $5 (not including the strap I got from Todd's). I like the vents and the sketch... very nice, very well planned out.

Lowes also has wet/dry sandpaper... 400, 600, 800, maybe even 1000 grit. Menards might have it too. They should all work fine, but if you start with 400 make sure you finish with about 800 would be my advice.

When I read some of the novels that take place in colder climates, like Hollow Earth, I have always pictured Indy's winter gear similar to something that Shackleton or Amundsen or any of the other polar explorers would wear. For winter adventuring gear you can't get any better than those fellows. -A...
