Yep, your jacket looks fantastic. May I ask what hide your jacket is? I have some similar real-life distressing on my Wested goat. My goat is showing through kind of gray-ish, where yours is a nice reddish-brown.

Alden Refurbishment Service

Question... has anyone sent their Alden's back to the company for the rebuild/refurbishment service? I was thinking of doing this, as my boots are ten years old, need new heels, and I've noticed some stitching beginning to seperate around the base of the tongue. I've also considered asking if the fa...

Do you mean Meltonian? It is essentially a type of shoe polish. It does absorb into the leather, but not to the extent of a dye, if that is what you are asking. The original color will still sort of "show through."

Stop by and ask! She only had the two, and one was a window display she wouldn't part with. That was several weeks ago, and she may have aquired more! They really were nice folks to deal with.

My boots started out being the pumpkin orange we all loved so much. After a few years of adventuring (which mellowed the color a bit), I took Michaelson's advice... some Meltonian polish, followed by brown Pecard. I now use neutral Pecard for subsequent treatments... This is how they now look! http:...

.45 Ammo Question

I have a S&W HE2 in .455 Eley, but I am having a bear of a time finding ammo. My question is this... would .45 Schofield fit this gun? It has the rim for use in revolvers, is .45 cal, and is shorter than .45 Colt... can anyone comment?

Hey Kaplan... the best way I've found to remove about 90% of the crease is to turnn the pants inside out, iron the creases, wash them, and repeat the ironing process. I've had great luck that way.
