Re: Any beaver SoC hats? Post your pics

:-k ....I don't really know. Steve did mention that that hat in particular was rare and is 1 of only 13 as he was recruited to make some hats but was forced into a vehicle, blindfolded and driven to an undisclosed location. From there he was forced to use certain materials to make the hats, the like...

Re: Any beaver SoC hats? Post your pics

Hah! I have one that I ordered from Steve. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to add my own personal touches to it yet. Why? Well it turns out that the hat is boxed up and sitting in a forgotten crate someplace deep within a government warehouse where nobody knows what is contained within. Funny thi...

Re: Cost of hats

I've thought about the time machine thing. But, if we were to go back in time with our modern currency and try to buy a $40 hat with a bill that was printed in 2009, they would think it was counterfit. You would have to get ahold of currency from the time you are travelling to. That can be just as ...

Re: How much DID your fedora cost?

Not to sound repetitive but I don't even want to tally it up. Current count puts me at 20 paid for Indy hats and half of 'em are Adventurebilt products.

Then there are the vintage fedoras somewhere at 170+.......

A lot of money is my final answer! =;

Re: Your favorite gray hat (another one of Jim's polls)

I have both grey hats from Steve. The grey Raiders appeals to me more because it is the same hat as the hero hat but a different color. There is something about that fact that resonates with me. When I opened the box on the CS travelling hat though, it took my breath away. It is such a beautiful hat...

The auction H-J is a nice hat, but unless you absolutely have to have a vintage h-J you can get a just as nice or better hat in Beaver at a nicer price from one of the vendors here. I agree. The ebay HJ was a nice hat ,it would make a passable LC hat.I stopped watching at £252.00..maybe the high pri...

Since nobody else is really grabbing these I would be interested in taking one or both of the 34x34's. I have a few questions though. Just from looking at these, do they look like long or short 34's? I know that this is an odd question but some pants run shorter or longer in the same inseam. Also do...

For the tall among us

Yep, this includes me. My biggest problem with finding indy gear is that nobody seems to tailor to the tall folk. While doing some searching I found a pair of pants that are close enough and not too espensive. The great part is that they offer free hemming to an inseam of 37-1/2". With shipping...

Herbert Johnson Hat Problems

Before the dilemma, a little back story: I recently acquired a used Herbert Johnson Royal Warrant on eBay. I received the hat and noticed just how bad the moth damage described in the auction was. The ribbon has a moth bite in it, the liner looks like swiss cheese and the sweatband has a large moth ...
