Sleeve question
So I'm getting the sleeves lengthened on my Wested lambskin, and the tailor called me to say that there will be a visable crease where the old edge was and wanted to know if I still wanted it done or not. I said to go ahead and I would worry about gettin the crease out after I got it back, which sho...

What I would recommend is to open up the phone book, look up a good orthopedic shoe store, and have THEM measure your feet. Tell them you need to be measured for the Alden boot. Chances are, they may be able to order the boot for you. In that case, you can make sure they fit before leaving the stor...

I tried reversing my d-rings and I must say it held the strap very well. I ended up switching it back though because I didn't like how you could see the gap in the metal. If you really wanted to hide the gap you could probably use some kind of epoxy or something and get a good look. I currently only...

There is a gap in the metal and that could wear out the leather on the strap and do it some damage in time. I'm not willing to take that chance. Sounds like you've had luck with it thusfar, though. I don't see how this is a logical arguement because when the D-ring is in its correct position the ga...

I agree with everything that's been said but I'll give my advice as well. I do think that you should do what you feel is right, whether it's keep the strap or not. Personally, I own 2 MkVIIs and cut the strap off of both. I used my swiss army knife (in a MacGyver moment) to slice through the stitche...

I'll soon start looking through the dvd extras whihc probably won't turn up much since they used such @#$% film to document it. It should just make it that much harder to spot them. I looked through the bonus disc on my search as well. I didn't come up with much but it looks like you have much bett...

Don't call me Junior, Is there anyway that you could reduce the size of those images so that we don't have to scroll side to side on each line while reading a post. I can't stand having to scroll like that, and quite frankly, sometimes I skip a whole thread and don't bother reading any of it if I s...

Go back, break out the dvd and put it in the pc. I just did and the evidence is all there. All of it. The bag strap had grooves on it, PERIOD. I wish I could see what you're seeing. To get back to the original topic I think there might have been a degree of fine detail loss on the DVD release (i.e....

First Manmade Supersonic Object?
Just came across this article and thought it was interesting. Never thought about it before and don't know if this is common knowledge or not

Sounds like you've already made up your mind but I would also suggest to go with an Adventurebilt. Unlike others I haven't owned a ton of diferent fedoras, but according to all those wise individuals it is THE hat. I got another hat and ended up ordering an Adventurebilt two days later. Save the tim...

Just Got My First Indy Hat.......With Pics!
Here is a picture of me in my first Indy fedora. I just got it Saturday but waited until now to post about it because I didn't want to be harassed for not having a picture. http://photobucket.com/albums/b252/dontcallmejunior/?action=view¤t=DSCN0784.jpg Sorry the picture is so huge. Yes, I ...

I agree with you IJ, I think I'm in between also. When I get my jacket (should be in a couple weeks) I plan on giving it some hard wear. But taking a pocket knife or sandpaper to it.... :? that's a different story. I don't know if this is discussed somewhere, I'll try doing a search, but would it sp...

Funny, I just saw that commercial for the first time the other day and the first thing I thought of was distressing Indy gear. My only concern in distressing something would be the effect on its longevity. I think I recall seeing something in the extras on the DVD of the costume designer talking abo...
